Weirdsville! Web Radio can be heard with the RealAudio Realplayer®. If your web browser does not have RealPlayer® associated with it, you can download it for free from www.real.com. Detailed help about specific RealAudio problems can be found on the RealNetworks Support Page.

To listen to the Webcast, click on either the WeirdPlayer icons on the Radio page, depending on which audio program you wish to use. This will generate a random playlist corresponding to your exact musical needs at the moment. Consider this an I Ching of Incredibly Strange Music.

WEIRDPLAYER: If you have a current browser and also have the Adobe Flash Player® installed, you should open the WeirdPlayers (main graphic channel buttons), which are customized Flash skins for the RealPlayer plug-in. Along with the Play, Pause, and Stop buttons, you can scroll through the playlist with the Forward and Back buttons. If you want to access the RealPlayer menu, right-click on the bottom status panel. Make sure you have the latest version of your web browser, Flash Player, and RealPlayer installed. NOTE: since Real is such an outdated technology, some functions might not work in some browsers. Why mono? Though RealAudio now has quality stereo capabilities, we have chose to stick with the smaller mono files. Not everyone in the world has highspeed Internet service - our experiments have shown that mono streams better and cuts down on the dreaded net congestion. We'd rather sacrifice a little bit of sound quality to let the music flow as smooth as possible, plus most of our cuts were originally recorded in mono anyway. If you want the stereo version, buy it direct from the artist.

Why ReaPlayer? We often get email asking why we don't use MP3 streams or why we use RealAudio, with the biggest complaint being "it takes over your computer". We agree that the RealOne player was fat, sloppy piece of bloatware, and that the current RealPlayer comes with way too much corporate market-research crap. We are not affiliated or sponsored by Real in any way - I don't think we're even on their RealRadio seach engines. But, since this site was built in 1999 and its way too late to switch the streams now, we stick with outdated tech - weeds out the less adventurous. Our advice: install the RealPlayer, say NO to all their suggestion, webupdate, and spam choices, and let the WEIRDNESS flow thru...
